You have a period you have not paid your National Pension contributions despite our repeated reminders.
You must pay them using the enclosed payment invoice by the due date indicated on the final reminder.
(B)
You can pay them at banks, post offices and convenience stores, using the payment invoice. Also you can use Pay-easy, or your smart phone payment apps to pay them.

  • You will receive DEMAND LETTER 督促状

Demand letter is issued based on law. If you don’t pay by the due date indicated in the letter, the law requires collection enforcement action (assets seizure and public sales) to be taken.
Note
Your spouse or head of your household will also receive a demand letter, since they are jointly liable for your payments. They are also subject to collection enforcement.

  • Your assets will be seized

If you don’t pay the outstanding contributions by the due date indicated in the demand letter, we will seize assets of you and jointly liable persons, i.e. your spouse, and/or head of your household.

  • Penalty will be imposed

If you don’t pay the outstanding contributions by the due date indicated in the demand letter, legal penalty interest will be imposed.

Notes

  • If this enforcement effort results in to progress, we may delegate the authority of collection enforcement to the Minister of Finance (National Tax Agency) through the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.
  • If you have difficulty with one-time payment,consult with JPS branch office.

Start easy and convenient payments for your future contributions; by automatic bank account transfer or by credit card. Get a discount, especially by opting for advance payment with automatic bank account transfer.

How to change payments

Change to payment by automatic bank account transfer

  • Apply online on your Nenkin Net via your Mynaportal. (Refer to JPS webpage.)(Some banks don’t offer this service.)
  • Submit Application for Automatic Bank Account Transfer (Change) for National Pension Contribution Payment to JPS branch office, bank, or post office.

Change to credit card payment

  • Submit application for credit card payment (change) for National Pension contri-bution to JPS branch office.

Note
If the card owner is not you or your spouse, state the owner’s agreement by phone or in writing.
