Under the Japanese law, the payment of the National Pension contribution is mandatory.
However, you may apply for exemption of contribution payments.
To establish exemption, visit JPS branch office as below by (year) (month) (day).
Please note that, if you don’t make any action, you may lose your status of residence (visa) in Japan.
